Context & Goal
Nowcollab began as a coordination and collaboration tool for student project teams. My vision: evolve it into an end-to-end, AI-powered project execution platform for SMEs that automates status reporting, follow-ups, and keeps teams focused on delivery.
Challenge
Teams - from startups and SMEs to university groups and agencies, wasted hours on manual setup, status meetings, and chasing updates. We needed to prove that a single, intelligent workspace could cut setup friction and boost delivery velocity.
Approach
Lean User Research: Interviewed 50+ project leads across universities and early-stage startups to map pain points in setup and reporting workflows
Agile MVP & AI Integration: Built core task-management and scheduling features, then layered on AI agents to:
Generate and distribute automated status reports
Send smart reminders for upcoming deadlines and blocked tasks
Analyze project data to surface at-risk tasks and suggest resource reallocations
Seamless Integrations: Connected with Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Calendar, and popular dev tools (GitHub, Jira) to minimize context switching
Beta Partnerships: Piloted with 10 university departments and 20 SME teams to iterate rapidly on UI/UX and AI-agent behaviors
